Bodysuit Bliss

Hey guys! This weekend I was in Minneapolis and I brought this outfit. I love bodysuits because they are easy to pair with just about anything. The weather was kind of gloomy and breezy so I paired it with a leather jacket from Bebe. This look can be delicate without the jacket and your hair down, or a bit more chic with a leather jacket and your hair pulled back. It's pretty versatile and the feel of the look can change with a simple adjustment. As far as jewelry goes, I kept it simple with some gold midi rings from Nasty Gal. You could also do a layered necklace look with this since the neck is low.

Take a look below and check out the outfit details. Some items are a little bit of a splurge like the shoes from Chinese Laundry but they are so comfy and you can wear them with anything! I would buy them in every color if I had the money, I love them so much!

Bikini Addiction: Sunnies, Eye Wear and Skin Protection

I'm gearing up so summer and trying to will the nice weather to come around more often by testing out some of my bikinis. I admit to having a bikini addiction but I just cant help it. Love to buy them and wear them!
When talking about summer, bikinis and the sun, don't forget about protecting your skin and your eyes!! I feel that it's overlooked a lot and people don't take it seriously. Trust me I love a good tan but at what price?? So I am always carrying around my Sun Bum sunblock and my Maui Jim sunglasses.
 SUNGLASSES STYLE: PILOT

There are heaps of sunglasses around, but are they really protecting your eyes? I am a big supporter of Maui Jim Sunglasses and wear them all the time. Eyes are something you can't replace and once the damage is done, it's there forever, so investing in a great pair of sunnies will insure your eye safety. Plus they have great styles for men and women. Not only do they protect your eyes but Maui Jim has an amazing protection plan! Just send your glasses back if there are any problems and they will either fix the issue or replace your glasses for just $10!

Check out Maui Jim Sunglasses here

As far as skin protection goes with sun block, I love Sun Bum's formula. It's said that one in five people will get skin cancer.... that number is scary. So let's reduce the risk by 80% just by using proper sun protection products! Sun Bum's sunscreen is safe to use,and  IT SMELLS SOOO YUMMY! I end up smelling like coconuts all day when I use it. Sun Bum Sunscreens are also tested, approved and recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation

On to my favorite....BIKINIS! Not sure why I love them so much when I live in a mostly cold climate...wishful thinking I suppose!

Pictured on the left: Chooks New Bay Red Top and Bottom about $60 for the set. here USE PROMO CODE SUMMERSAVE to receive a 5% discount on your entire order!!
This brand runs a bit small and the bottoms fit me tight so I may opt for a size up. The top fits true to size. The fit is well.... very clearly a thong bottom. I love it but some may want more coverage.

Pictured on the right: Cia Maritima Beachwear from Brazil Python Brazilian Bikini (I got mine last year so it may not be on the site)  here is their site so you can see what style you like!
This suit fits true to size and is a Brazilian style meaning the booty portion covers more than a thong but less than a regular brief.....so very cheeky!

That's all for today's post!
Until next time.

Salon Day: The best salon in Chicago

So when I moved to Chicago two years ago, I had to find a new salon to get my hair done. I went to one salon and wasn't happy with the results, so I got online and did some searching. I found my favorite salon Sine Qua Non in West Town. It had great reviews and people reviewed the stylists as well. I was looking for someone who specialized in color, and my now favorite stylist Bryan was highly reviewed.
I went there the first time and loved my cut and color! I just got my hair done this past weekend so I thought I should review it for you!
Here is their website Sine Qua Non Salon
Overall I LOVE this salon and they have multiple locations in Chicago. If you are looking to get your hair done I highly recommend this salon! I would never trust anyone else with anyone else but Bryan!

Sunday morning rain is fallin..

This past Sunday it was gloomy and rainy all day, and it sounds like this weekend will be more of the same. Those kinds of days are best for studying Japanese and weekly planning.
Studying is not that fun to begin with so having cute stationary always is motivating in an odd way. Lisa Frank helps me out in that department.
I have this thing......let's call it an addiction...yes ...that's it, and addiction to Japanese stationary. I collect and am a small scale hoarder of the stuff. I can't get enough, but then when it arrives, it's so cute  I can't possibly bring myself to use it. Alas.. off it goes into a cute box to sit until I want to look at it again..... hey I did mention it was an addiction.
Back to studying! I'm equipped with a jumbo Lisa Frank pencil...mostly for looks, my Japanese book, the oh so necessary electronic Japanese dictionary, my notes that are hiding in that colorful Lisa Frank folder, and the pencil case which houses actually functional pencils.

Next up is my weekly planning. Three calendars..... My phone, my Barbie schedule book and my Gaspard and Lisa schedule book. Both schedule books are from Japan which I bought on the Rakuten site with all the points I've racked up buying stationary.
That purely divine pen... was given to me by the girl who ran the wedding dress shop where I altered my dress.

I like to see what's coming up for the week...usually the same old but it's still a nice activity... pair that with some cinnamon tea and it makes for a relaxing morning.
