DIY boots

For ages I have been searching for boots like these, and when I found them on the Tony Bianco site, they didn't have my size. I was told that because they were an older style, they would not be re-stocking them. So I scowered the internet looking for boots like these, and found a few pairs I loved.

Of course in my dreams I owned all of these high fashion boots, but in real life I had to keep searching. While I was on the Nordstrom Rack site I found these!

 

These are by Liliana and they are called the Rubik boot. Now I am personally not a fan of the chain at all!! So I easily took it off with a needle nose pliers, and replaced them with a pair of black wax coated laces to get the look I wanted. 

The best part is, these were on sale for $28.00!

Acupuncture and Chiropractic care : Wellness benifits

So to start of this post I figure I will let you know, before starting acupuncture and chiropractic treatment, I was highly skeptical and a nay-sayer to be honest. I didn't want someone "adjusting" any of my body parts. However, now after a few weeks of both acupuncture and chiropractic treatment, my opinion has completely changed. After the first treatment I instantly felt relief in my neck and shoulders. 

鍼療法とカイロプラクティック治療をする前に全然それを信じられないっと思ったけど、もう二三週間もたって、そういう考え方が変えました。最初のトリートメントの後、すぐに楽になりましたよ！


Mostly people associate chiropractic care with pain management and that is a large part of it. However, I live in a climate where it is freezing cold almost 6 months out of the year with limited sunlight, so I am affected by Seasonal Affective Disorder SAD. It's a mood disorder that acts like depression and comes around the same time each year.Rather than taking prescription medication for it, I did my research and decided to give Acupuncture and Chiropractic treatment a try. 

たいていカイロプラクティックと聞けば、体の痛みが出て来るかもしれません。それも当ていますよ。しかし、鍼療法とカイロプラクティック治療は精神衛生に良いです。今住んでいる所は六ヶ月ぐらいめっちゃさむくて曇りで、季節性情動障害があるからです。天気が悪くてはれの日はつくないによる鬱病みたいな感じ。薬を飲むの変わりに鍼療法とカイロプラクティック治療をやってみると思いました。

My treatment goes like this:
First my doctor applied pressure to areas in my shoulders that are tender and holds light pressure against the spot. He does that on each side. Then he adjusts my neck and some spots in my back. The last part of my treatment includes acupuncture. Laying face down on a table, he inserts about 20 very small needles into points on my upper back, neck and shoulders, and one "antenna" on the top of my head. He attaches electrodes to some needles in my neck and back. He then turns on the electrodes, which cause my muscle to twitch slightly, and leaves the electrodes on for about 15 minutes. After which he applies chiropractic tape and I am on my way. 

トリートメントはこんな感じです。
１．ネックとショルダーにつぼの刺激をしてた。右と左のサイド、両方しました。
２．次テーブルの上に寝て、小さい針を筋肉に刺入して、電気鍼療法をしました。１５分ぐらい        そのまま寝ていました。
３．最後にカイロプラクティックのテープを張ります。

After the first treatment my neck felt so long and my shoulders completely relaxed. Over the past 3 weeks I have noticed my mood improving as well. It has given me a great amount of relief and is great for those of you like myself, who are into lifting weights. Keeps the muscles relaxed and ready to lift. 

三週間にすっごく楽になしました。気分も良くなりました。私みたいにウェートトレーニングをしている人の体と筋肉にいいそうです。

Everyone will have a different experience, but that is just my 2 cents on how my treatment has worked for me.

The hottest holiday shopping promo in Tokyo: Kabe-Don

Kabe-don, two seemingly harmless Japanese words. Kabe, meaning wall and Don, a word that refers to the sound of a hand hitting a surface. These two words together as kabe-don refers to a certain position where a man places his hand against a wall where a female is standing so she cannot move...and he can lean in for a little smoochie action. 


A store called GU in Ginza, Tokyo held this Kabe-don event as a holiday shopping promo. 
Women would come into the store and look around, pick up a special holiday item and ask how it looked. Then BAM! One of he  "hotties" would tell them how beautiful and cute they looked, while doing a kabe-don on them.

By the girls reactions, I'd say the promotion was a success. Rather than dragging a unwilling spouse along with little input, there were hot guys ready to tell you how beautiful you looked! 


Guys !!! never fear, you weren't left out of the action either.
